Elastomeric Sealant (DK-230)

Elastomeric Sealant (DK-230)

The Elastomeric Epoxy Sealant (DK-230) is designed for use in areas where epoxy injection is challenging. It can be applied as a filler after V-cutting with a grinder. This product boasts excellent adhesion and outstanding elongation properties, making it highly effective in various structures, including masonry walls and both interior and exterior walls of apartments. It is ideal for use in locations with crack widths ranging from 0.5 to 0.8mm.
Key Features

Outstanding Adhesion: Bonds strongly to various materials such as cement mortar, concrete, and rebar, showing exceptional performance in V-cuts and U-cuts.

Superior Physical Strength and Durability: Provides high weather resistance and physical strength, enhancing the durability of structures and preventing corrosion.

Excellent Elasticity: Offers high flexibility to effectively respond to structural deformation or vibrations.

Great Workability: Easy to apply in putty form, it stays in place on vertical and overhead surfaces without dripping.

Elastomeric Sealant Application

1. Crack Inspection

(1) Inspect the crack area to determine its width and depth. Decide on the necessary measures and materials before starting the work. (2) Select the appropriate application method and materials based on the inspection.

2Cleaning the Work Area

Thoroughly remove any debris from the area to be repaired, ensuring a clean surface for effective adhesion.

3. V-Cutting

Perform V-cutting on the crack area according to the size of the crack. If necessary, apply an epoxy primer to the V-cut area using a small brush. The epoxy primer enhances the adhesion of the sealing material.

4. First Coat of Sealing Material

Apply the first coat of sealing material using a brush or trowel, ensuring the crack is filled to a width of at least 50mm and a thickness of 1mm.

5Second Coat of Sealing Material

(1) Apply the second coat to address any shrinkage or missed areas from the first coat and to smooth the surface. After the final application, allow the surface to dry completely before applying a water-based paint for finishing.

(2) Coverage for the second coat: approximately 20m per kg.
