WET EPOXY SEALANT (DK-220)

WET EPOXY SEALANT (DK-220)

DK-220 is an epoxy sealant specially developed for crack repairs in humid and wet environments specifically for cracks up to 3mm wide. It exhibits excellent adhesion on moist surfaces and is also suitable for sealing specialized equipment like syringe platforms.
Key Features

Outstanding Underwater Adhesion: Provides reliable repairs even underwater.

Excellent Crack Repair Capability: Effectively fixes cracks in moisture-laden structures.

Great Workability: Fast-curing formula allows for easy application in humid conditions, with no dripping on vertical or overhead surfaces.

Strong Water Resistance: Maintains a stable adhesive structure without shrinkage after curing, and is unaffected by chemical reactions.

Superior Mechanical Strength: Designed to withstand high pressure with excellent compressive, flexural, and tensile strength.

WET EPOXY SEALANT APPLICATION

1.Crack Inspection

  1. Inspect the crack area to determine its width and depth. Decide on the necessary measures and materials before starting the work.
  2. Select the appropriate application method and materials based on the inspection.

2.Cleaning the Work Area

  1. Thoroughly remove any debris from the area to be repaired, ensuring a clean surface for effective adhesion.

3.V-Cutting

  1. Perform V-cutting on the crack area according to the size of the crack. If necessary, apply an epoxy primer to the V-cut area using a small brush. The epoxy primer enhances the adhesion of the sealing material.

4.First Coat of Sealing Material

  1. Apply the first coat of sealing material using a brush or trowel, ensuring the crack is filled to a width of at least 50mm and a thickness of 1mm.

5.Second Coat of Sealing Material

  1. Apply the second coat to address any shrinkage or missed areas from the first coat and to smooth the surface. After the final application, allow the surface to dry completely before applying a water-based paint for finishing.
  2. Coverage for the second coat: approximately 20m per kg.
