[FPN Reporter Jae-woo Jung] - Geomdan Fire Station (led by Chief Kim Seong-deok) announced that on the 4th, an inauguration ceremony was held for the Ara Volunteer Fire Brigade (led by Chief Oh Min), along with an appointment ceremony for new volunteer firefighters.
The newly established Ara Volunteer Fire Brigade was organized to strengthen firefighting capabilities and act as guardians of safety within areas such as Oryu-dong in Seo-gu, Incheon, and the Incheon Logistics Terminal complex.
During the inauguration ceremony, appointment certificates were also awarded to new members of the various volunteer fire brigades.
With the establishment of the Ara Volunteer Fire Brigade, the Geomdan Fire Station Volunteer Brigade has been expanded to a total of 7 brigades and 194 members.
Volunteer firefighters assist professional firefighters in disaster situations, prevent fires, and engage in community service activities for vulnerable groups to ensure community safety.
Chief Oh Min expressed his vision, stating, "As volunteer firefighters, we will lead this organization with pride and strive to be a beacon in the community."
Chief Kim Seong-deok congratulated the new members, saying, "We welcome you to the Geomdan Fire Station family and look forward to your active role as guardians of community safety with your passion for service."
